Mike,
Say what. Do you remember the American that was beheaded with a dull knife? That wasn't torture?
You must be from Boulder Colorado.
Mike, the firefighter was suspended from THE BAND! IF they receive pay for playing, I'm certain he won't go to the poor house without it. Perhaps if he had just apologised like Obama's tax dodging Treasury Secretary pick...

Mike, some of your comments need addressing - 1) first off Bush did not Bankrupt the country - all of our politicians are guilty - it started back in the early 1990's under Clinton and Barney Frank who relaxed the lending rules to be "fair" to all people to give them the right to own a house whether they could afford it or deserved it. Owning a home is a privilege not a right. Then greed in all aspects took over. Bush had nothing to do with the fat cats on Wall Street and their ridulous compensation. Blame the stupid Board of Directors of each firm having issues, blame the SEC, the politicians etc. And yes, left wing politics who think just giving people will make them appreciate it. Everyone must work for their own piece of the pie, but in the same vein be given access to a good education and opportunity. Bush has not been perfect for sure, but Clinton sold the White house to the highest bidder and continues to do so and is more to blame for 9/11 than Bush. He cut the military, ignored warnings and had the oppty to take Bin Laden and did not. Then there are his current benefactors mainly foreign oil and his issues with his library and his speaking engagements. Do you think he just starting "getting funds" from these people? I agree that Washington has too much pork. When our forefathers wrote the constitution, our law makers were only supposed to be part-time - not full time living on the taxes and hard work of the people. Unfortunately, they now are the elitist class who look down on the common people not much better than the tyranny the founders tried to escape in Europe. Government can not be everything to all - this must come from hard work and charitable efforts. We need a return to morality, principles and less government. Have you even tried to own a business these days? Between the taxes, red tape and the paperwork, you just can't succeed! Get out of your shell! The democrats are no different than the republicans. They all want power and money. I am hoping Obama will be different and liked his freeze on salaries for the white house staff - now go after the senate, house and their staffs and their automatic pay increases, full benefits, etc. Now who will you hear screaming?
Mike - liberals always base everything on emotion rather than fact and sadly, they usually win because people are too lazy to research the facts and base decisions on emotion, case in point, Obama is ahead in the polls... This man has done very little in the Senate and was a fundraiser for a corrupt "charity" organization prior to becoming a Senator. Both Republicans and President Bush tried again and again to put into place policies that would have prevented FM and FM from lending billions of dollars in mortgages to those who did not have the means or ability and sometimes no intent on ever paying back the money. This is what led to the financial corruption and chaos we are now in. As I stated before, this is based on factual information according to congressional records, not an excuse or refusing to take responsibility. Do you argue against the congressional records? Do you believe there has been some kind of conspiracy to change these records to make the Dems look bad? Probably so and you probably believe our government destroyed the World Trade Center and created the HIV virus to kill all of the blacks in the world... You and your buddies are the ones who refuse to take responsibility for your leaders actions. Do you want this to be a socialist country? Your answer will give me great insight in how you view the world we live in...
